A TEAM of top experts are to tackle foetal alcohol syndrome, as a shock study reveals up to a quarter of children in care suffer irreversible damage because their mothers drank during pregnancy. The Department of Health advisory panel is to be launched this week and will be chaired by deputy chief medical officer Professor Jonathan Van-Tam.
