MILLIONS of lives could be saved by new cancer drugs set to be available within a decade. British scientists have declared that an “exciting” £75million mission is aimed at stopping cancer cells becoming resistant to treatment. Such medicines would help patients live longer and have better lives by making the condition manageable and “more often curable”.
