MILLIONS of cases of malaria could be prevented by a new type of mosquito net, according to new research. A two-year clinical trial in the West African country of Burkina Faso, involving 2,000 children, showed that the number of cases of clinical malaria was cut by 12 per cent using the new bed net compared to the conventional one normally used.
